COVER (10 PTS)

The cover includes all the required information. It is neatly and

Creatively done. Directions were correctly followed. _______/10

CARD ONE (10 PTS)

The required information is included. Setting, point of view,

and mood were sufficiently explained. _______/10

CARD TWO (15 PTS)

The required information about the main character is in-

cluded. The picture of the character is neatly drawn or

magazine cut-outs or computer graphics are used neatly.

CARD THREE (15 PTS)

Same as above is done for the second main character. _______/15

CARD FOUR (10 PTS)

The main conflict of the novel is explained on this

card. The type of conflict is stated and adequate ex-

planation is given so as to understand the main problem

the characters in the novel face. _______/10

CARD FIVE (20 PTS)

The main events of the plot are listed neatly and numbered.

A minimum of six events (2 from beginning, 2 from middle,

and two from the ending) are given. Events are written in

complete sentences that are grammatically correct without any

spelling errors. The teacher is able to understand the basic

plot development of the novel through these events. If more

events are needed to properly explain the novel, then student

has done so. Events should be clearly and concisely written. _______/20

CARD SIX (10 PTS)

The student has given his/her personal reaction to the novel. A

rating of one to five stars is indicated. Most importantly,

sufficient explanation is given to explain the rating. Student

has written in complete sentences and has edited his/her _______/10

three other books written by the author is given. All
